"I have not had to regret a thing!"
Born and raised in the middle of Tallinn city jungle, the original graffiti artist Big Mora got round to spray cans, markers and different kind of inks in '97.“Having been interested in drawing and comic book heroes for my whole childhood, graffiti offered an excellent way of escaping from the daily routine and troubles at school, to lurk by the railway with a bunch of friends and get our names up there…and above all satisfy the need to create art.
What started as a hobby and the desire to let the authorities and police know we existed soon became the most vital part of my life, making everything else seem insignificant. We had formed an empire - the majority of my friends have been graffiti writers, or at least have written their name here and there with markers.
Seeing tattoos on my father's skin as a child, I developed an interest in the lifelong art of tattooing at an early age. I was 14 years old when I knew that one day I would get a tattoo myself. The day finally came and after that I was hooked. I was about 17 as more and more tattoo sketches started to pile up in my desk drawer. 4 years passed…I had gotten older and more mature, as had my style! The time was right to get my first very own tattoo machine, for which I must thank my papa, whose encouraging and long love for tattoos was really what made me inject some ink on my own. And I have not had to regret a thing!
For the time being, now I'm dedicatedly co-owner and artist in Pirados Studios (Rohu 13), where clients can get tattoos and sketches of all difficulty levels. It's also possible to do over old and messed up works. Beside tattoos there's design, custom art, airbrush, aerosol art & Pirados Brand clothes. The personal nature of my work area connects me with customers, allowing me to put deep meaning into the pictures…”
