"I'm an old school poet I cherish the ink That cosmic cowboy that doesn't care what they think Real magic isn't card tricks, big cribs and cars, bitch It's making something out of nothing through this hardship And even though we know that the earth is weak We still bomb each other and idol what the churches speak..."

This time we´re on with nice 2008 remake of KRS-One's classic track "Criminal Minded" produced by DJ Premier. Criminal Minded by Boogie Down Productions is a highly influental hip-hop album. Production on the LP is credited to 'Blastmaster' KRS-One (Lawrence Krisna Parker) and DJ Scott La Rock (Scott Sterling), but in future interviews it has been revealed that an uncredited Ced-Gee (Cedric Miller) of The Ultramagnetic MCs had a key role in crafting the sound of the LP. Released in early 1987, the album heavily sampled records from James Brown and AC/DC, and also flaunted a dancehall reggae influence. The songs “South Bronx” and “The Bridge is Over” (a reference to the Queensbridge Housing Projects) ignited a famous rivalry with the Queens-bred emcee MC Shan. The album is also credited with providing a prototype for East Coast gangsta rap from which to develop. For instance, the cover, which showcases Parker and Sterling surrounded by an arsenal of weapons, was hip-hop’s first major release to feature members brandishing firearms.
"We’re still here homie, fuck what you heard The games going to the street and it so happens that’s where I serve Still fuck the hoolah, we still fuck with the psycho buddha On the hill where they burn weed like plastic shooters These Glock 17’s, they drop enemies It rarely happens till the meth and rock intervenes..."

"Kuna vanasõna on juba vana sõna, siis küsija suu pihta löödakse täna nukkidega või mitmekesi, A-Rühm lööb verbaalselt, kuidas ära küsi kuula aguli slängi, alkashi folkloori meie vulgaarset või roppu kalambuuri..."
Booya! Here's another Estonian hip-hop classic!! One of the best song from A-Rühm's debut album "Laulmata Jäänud Laulud" (1999) in my opinion. I remember it was "must-to-have" album back in the days...I was much younger and these tracks seemed so REAL and rebellious in this time! Where's this wickedness and raw mentality now?
