"Don't even matter 'cause, I ain't even mad at God
I just think the saddest part is I don't wanna go
'Cause who the hell knows for, whom the bell tolls
I was, chillin with muy peoples just, out on Melrose..."

Michael Perretta, better known as Evidence (born December 10, 1976 in Los Angeles, California), is an American hip hop artist, producer, and member of the rap group Dilated Peoples. Evidence is a native of Venice in Los Angeles, California and was born to an Italian father and a Russian-American mother. Before becoming a rapper and producer, Evidence was a graffiti artist.
Evidence's affinity for hip-hop and the culture began in the early eighties, with his parents' divorce and subsequent move from the affluent city of Santa Monica to neighboring Venice Beach. By the early 1990s, and in addition to becoming a graffiti artist, painting hip hop inspired hieroglyphics under the name "VANE," a move next door to QD3, son of producer Quincy Jones, Evidence discovered his true calling. QD3, an accomplished West Coast producer, ("To Live and Die in L.A."- Tupac, "Ghetto Bird"- Ice Cube, "I Got the Knack"- Everlast) became one of Evidence's major influences in his pursuit to create music. "At night I would hear a loud thumping coming from the back yard next door and it wouldn't stop until early in the morning” says Evidence recalling those early days. “I could tell that they weren't just playing music but sounded like music was being created."

"Let's take a ride in my 64' Impala
I'm your California tour guide
Show where the police let BIG die
They call it Los Angeles, I call it suicide!
I took a bullet in the heart and survived
So hit the switch, lean back, and enjoy the ride..."

The Game was born Jayceon Terrell Taylor in Los Angeles, California to Lynette Baker of African-American descent and George Taylor, Jr. of African- American and Mexican descent. He grew up in Compton, California in a primarily Crip gang neighborhood known as Santana Blocc, although he grew up to become a member of the Bloods.
In 2004 Dr Dre was passed Game's demo CD by D-Mack and been suitably impressed. According to Aftermath A&R Angelo Sanders in an interview with HitQuarters, when Dre then met him, "[He] saw the swagger in him and thought he could do something with him." Game was signed to Aftermath Entertainment only a week later through a joint deal with 50 Cent's G-Unit Records.
It was confirmed in May 2009 that Game began working on a new album, The R.E.D. Album, with Timbaland and Drumma Boy on the album. He released the first single from the album, the Pharrell produced "It Must Be Me" on April 14, 2010.

"Quick up the stairs so little sucker stop looking
Stagger to the house so I can collect my whooping

But watch out 'cause a little nigga's up to no good

Growin' up in the hood..."

Compton's Most Wanted is an American gangsta rap group and one of the pioneers of the West Coast Hip Hop scene still performing today on independent labels. C.M.W. included rappers MC Eiht and MC Chill, Boom Bam and DJ Ant Capone who was later replaced by DJ Mike T, and producer DJ Slip. The Unknown DJ was also a producer for the group though not officially a member.
Their first three albums It's a Compton Thang, Straight Checkn 'Em and Music to Driveby, were produced by DJ Slip and The Unknown DJ, who produced both Electro funk tracks as well as Ice T's classic gangsta song "6 In the Morning". MC Chill was an original member of C.M.W. at the time of their first album It's a Compton Thang, but was sentenced to imprisonment in 1991 before Straight Checkn 'Em was issued. He was released from prison in 1994. During his time in prison he missed C.M.W.'s two biggest albums "Straight Checkn 'Em" and "Music to Driveby". After three years behind bars, MC Chill did not have the chance to return to the group as they broke up following Music to Driveby. Instead, Chill decided to work with MC Ren and MC Eiht for their solo albums. In 2000, the group reformed and released "Represent". They are known especially for their slow, often melancholic raps, using samples from 1970s soul and funk records such as "Joy" by Isaac Hayes and "Love T.K.O." by Teddy Pendergrass. MC Eiht is pursuing his solo career, while DJ Slip is mainly working for the new West Coast label IV Life Records. Additionally, C.M.W. are set for a reunion which will feature on DJ Slip's next album "The Minority Report".

"My object is to deprogram, blind your optics
You cannot stop this mission, this topic
Cuz you could write tickets my nigga or get paid
Learn this game of the streets or get slayed..."

Troy Donald Jamerson (born 31 October 1972, better known by his stage name Pharoahe Monch, is an American hip hop artist. He is known for his complex delivery, internal and multisyllabic rhyme schemes.
Pharoahe Monch's name is derived from the monkey dolls, Monchhichis. After receiving a bad haircut, which left Monch looking like a "chimpanzee", girls in Monch's class at the High School of Art and Design began calling him "Monchhichi", which was later shortened to "Monch". Monch adopted the "Pharoahe" prefix after meeting future Organized Konfusion partner Prince Po.
Monch released three albums as part of the rap duo, Organized Konfusion with partner Prince Poetry: The self-titled Organized Konfusion, Stress: The Extinction Agenda and The Equinox. The duo handled a large amount of production on these albums themselves. All albums received positive critical reviews, but moderate sales. As a result, the duo split up after recording their final album The Equinox in 1997. Prince Poetry has since denied the possibility of an Organized Konfusion reunion.
Pharoahe Monch then signed to Rawkus Records, an indie label. After making several guest appearances on albums like the best-selling Rawkus compilation Soundbombing 2, Monch's much-hyped debut, Internal Affairs was released in 1999. The first single of the album, "Simon Says", became a hit single, peaking at #97 on the Billboard Hot 100; he was later sued for the use of a Godzilla sample for the beat. He also had a 2001 hit with "F**k You" off of the Training Day soundtrack (the clean version was called "Got You").
Pharoahe Monch will release his third solo album W.A.R. (We Are Renegades) in 2010. He revealed that the album will be a "throwback to 1993, '94 hip-hop" and will feature production by Black Milk, Mr. Porter, Lee Stone & M-Phazes. A ten year anniversary re-issue of Internal Affairs will also be released featuring a documentary about the making of the album.
